Calderon addressing joint session of Congress

President Calderon addressing Congress

I waited quite a while to post about this disgusting display of our lawmakers because quite frankly I was so angry that I couldn’t post the explicatives that were rising up every time I looked at this picture. Democrats applauding a foreign President spouting the Administration’s rhetoric about a U.S. sovereign state’s law that mirrors Federal law being Unconstitutional; encouraging racial profiling, etc. was just so damning.

Talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black! Has anyone ever bothered to find out what happens to illegals in Mexico, (not that anyone would want to be an illegal immigrant in Mexico). Foreigners in Mexico are required to carry proper ID including proof that they are in the country legally. What happens if you can’t prove it, you are put in JAIL. Then if you are very lucky, they will just deport you. You want to talk about racial profiling, there is no such thing as freedom as we know it. There is no limit on when, where and how you are accosted by the authorities in Mexico. You can be asked for your ID at any time, period.

Mr. Calderon does have an ulterior motive to shoot down this law. The plain fact is that illegals send millions if not billions of dollars back home to Mexico. Why do you think that Mexico’s economy has survived this long. It certainly isn’t NAFTA. It is all of the money being funneled back across the border and spent in Mexico that sustains them. If I were Calderon, I would want to see this law fail but to come to the US and in a Joint session of Congress and outright lie about it as the Administration and our Congress have done is beyond the pale.

Every one of these spineless shrews needs to be removed from office.

Can the U.S. get out of debt?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

The simple answer at this time is “Yes We Can.” Pun intended! Also, I stress “at this time” because to be quite frank, we are running out of time. I read a piece by Glenn Beck this evening that really underlines the necessity of looking for inspiration from the Founders rather than the “Social Experimentation” that the Obama seems hell bent on laying at our feet!

Ladies and Gentlemen, you don’t run your business or personal finances the way our government does. If you did, you would have already declared bankruptcy and called it a day.

The bottom line is that the U.S. debt IS your debt; your children’s debt: and your children’s children’s debt. So why allow this to continue? We must as a nation, re-evaluate and correct this IMMEDIATELY! I invite you to read the story and then make up your mind to do your part. Get involved, call your Congressman, write letters to everyone from the President on down. Join a Tea Party! Most important, get informed about your Representative and then vote your conscience.

545 vs 300,000,000

Charlie Reese545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians, as I have often said, are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Everything on the Republican contract is a problem created by Congress. Too much bureaucracy? Blame Congress. Too many rules?
Blame Congress. Unjust tax laws? Congress wrote them. Out-of-control bureaucracy? Congress authorizes everything bureaucracies do. Americans dying in Third World rat holes on stupid U.N. missions? Congress allows it. The annual deficits? Congress votes for them. The $4 trillion plus debt? Congress created it. To put it into perspective just remember that 100 percent of the power of
the federal government comes from the U.S. Constitution. If it’s not in the Constitution, it’s not authorized. Then read your Constitution. All 100 percent of the power of the federal government is invested solely in 545 individual human beings. That’s all.
Of 260 million Americans, only 545 of them wield 100 percent of the power of the federal government. That’s 435 members of the U.S. House, 100 senators, one president and nine Supreme Court justices. Anything involving government that is wrong is 100 percent their fault.

I exclude the vice president because constitutionally he has no power except to preside over the Senate and to vote only in the case of a tie. I exclude the Federal Reserve because Congress created it and all its power is power Congress delegated to it and could withdraw anytime it chooses to do so. In fact, all the power exercised by the 3 million or so other federal employees is power delegated from the 545. All bureaucracies are created by Congress or by executive order of the president. All are financed and staffed by Congress. All enforce laws passed by Congress. All operate under procedures authorized by Congress. That’s why all
complaints and protests should be properly directed at Congress, not at the individual agencies. You don’t like the IRS? Go see Congress. You think the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agency is running amok? Go see Congress.

Congress is the originator of all government problems and is also the only remedy available. That’s why, of course, politicians go to such extraordinary lengths and employ world-class sophistry to make you think they are not responsible. Anytime a congressman pretends to be outraged by something a federal bureaucrat does, he is in fact engaging in one big massive con job. No federal employee can act at all except to enforce laws passed by Congress and to employ procedures authorized by Congress either explicitly or implicitly.

Partisans on both sides like to blame presidents for deficits, but all deficits are congressional deficits. The president may, by custom,
recommend a budget, but it carries no legal weight. Only Congress is authorized by the Constitution to authorize and appropriate and to levy taxes. That’s what the federal budget consists of: expenditures authorized, funds appropriated and taxes levied. Both Democrats and Republicans mislead the public. For 40 years Democrats had majorities and could have at any time balanced the
budget if they had chosen to do so. Republicans now have majorities and could, if they choose, pass a balanced budget this year. Every president, Democrat or Republican, could have vetoed appropriations bills that did not make up a balanced budget. Every president could have recommended a balanced budget. None has done either. We have annual deficits and a huge federal debt because that’s what majorities in Congress and presidents in the White House wanted. We have troops in various Third World rat holes because Congress and the president want them there. Don’t be conned. Don’t let them escape responsibility. We simply have to sort through 260 million people until we find 545 who will act responsibly.

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper. This article was written in 1995 and published in that fine newspaper. I ask you, my readers, what has changed in 15 years? The answer is only the names of SOME of the politicians, the population of the United States, the rat holes have new names, Iraq and Afghanistan, and the TAX and SPEND have soared exponentially.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What in the hell happened? Can you say politicians?

Glenn Beck at CPAC

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

WOW! What a keynote speech delivered at CPAC by Glenn Beck!! It has long been said that we can learn from history and Glenn is very good at reminding us about American history. Personal Responsibility – What a concept! Lower Taxes, Lower Spending = JOBS and GROWTH of America. President Calvin Coolidge’s leadership was used as a prime example of a path to fix America’s woes.

Everyone agrees that healthcare has issues that must be addressed but to Nationalize or radically change it is not the answer. Targeted, direct action against the problems while leaving the parts that work intact is the ONLY answer that works. When will OUR government listen to us? Maybe in the later half of 2010 or if they are really hard headed, 2012. Regardless, America needs to stand up and take back our country!

Revolution in the Air

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Has anyone else noticed the tension that is in the air? Every morning when I wake up and flip over the news channels, I wonder in the back of my mind if this will be the day that the implosion begins. There are signs of it everywhere like on Fox Forum talking about populist wildfires that are going to leave nothing but ashes in the 2010 elections. You can feel the anger and it is starting to cross party lines similar to that wildfire that jumps across a major road! Most people aren’t really concerned about U.S. power and well being in the world at large, they are more worried about if they will have a job at the end of the day and can they put food on the table.

People are writing books with such reassuring titles such as “Meltdown” and releasing DVD’s such as “Media Malpractice” about the the death of true journalism exposing the mainstream media agenda to get Obama elected and Palin scorned. Notice here that I don’t refer to Obama as President because he has yet to provide satisfactory proof that he is a “natural born citizen”. Until that happens, Mr. Obama, you are not my President! I don’t understand why you are so reluctant to produce the evidence and put down the 12 or so lawsuits that are now pending before the courts in several states.

The scary thing is that Washington keeps throwing diversions at the people to try and channel their anger into the agenda. Take for instance, Obama’s indignation at the AIG bonuses. That is not indignation but manipulation. Do you think for an instant that Obama was not aware of the bonuses at AIG. Channel that anger and the attention at that while sneaking in another trillion dollar spending spree courtesy of the American Taxpayer. The truth is that most inside the beltway consider the American people as the “lambs”. We are apparently too stupid to have an opinion that matters unless it is close to election time. Then we are only paid lip service until the politicians get elected and we are once again marginalized for the special interest groups.

Leave me a comment and tell me how you feel today!
